The Positions
Our Client’s Helicopter Operation provides short shuttle flights from their Dhaka base in Bangladesh. Their secondary role is in providing Air Ambulance services from Bangladesh province, into Dhaka.

This start up aviation business is owned by a large family Corporation with 6,000 employees across diverse interests. Their Aviation Project Manager is a British National with 35 years in civil aviation.  He has 15 years Managerial experience with major European Manufacturer and is an ATPL holder himself, with 11,000hrs and 20 years in Asia.  They are using a Maintenance Rep who is under contract to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). They also operate regional routes using a Hawker HS125-800 and we’re recruiting their new Captains for that too; if you know anyone, please ask them to get in touch.

Outline Job Spec
Term: 1 year Contract initially
Planned Reporting Dates: September 2010 (crew selections will be made in August)
Rotations/Days Off: 28on/26off + 2 travel days, with tickets home
Accommodation/Breakfast: Meals on duty, serviced apartments and 4 star hotels on route
Per Diems/Overnight Allowances: Full board in Dhaka; US$50 per night on route
Uniform & Laundry: Provided
Ground Duty Transport: Provided, with a driver

Who Will They Contract via Betts?
Acceptable Licenses: JAA or FAA
Approximate Hours on Type: 2,500 hours
Max Age (as advised by our Client): 60
You should be Instrument Rated current on type
Their ideal Candidate will either be ex-Navy or non ex-Military, or someone with North Sea, or Corporate experience
This is a new aviation business for our Client, who has wider business interests in the region.  They plan to hire Pilots with strong experience – but more than that – they need people with the right approach and professionalism; people who care about their job and who are willing to help establish this young operation.  This isn’t a job where you can just turn up, do the minimum and pick up your money at the end of the month.  They’ll develop and grow, with a Team who care about pulling together, to bring in knowledge and experience that they will share with their local colleagues and with those who endeavour to make a difference.

To Apply:
If you would like to apply - and if you offer the skills and experience requested by our Client - will you please:
a)   send us a copy of your up to date CV/Resume (as a Word.doc please)
b)   please include a photograph; it doesn’t have to be professional, just appropriate
We’ll return our 1 page Qualification Summary Form (QSF) for completion by qualified Candidates.

Candidates who meet match our Client’s preferred profile, will then be forwarded to the Company for their initial review.
They plan to hold Interviews in London, followed by Sim Checks and then a final Interview in Dhaka with the Corporation’s Owner.

We look forward to receiving applications from Bell qualified Captains; unfortunately, type ratings and upgrades are not offered at this stage.

You will hear from us with the outcome of your application, just as soon as it is known.

Greetings-

My name is Jeremy Youngquist and I am extemely interested in your job opportunity in Bangladesh.  My wife and I have lived for most of the last year in Bali, Indonesia where we have been volunteering at a home for impoverished children.  I have extensive multi-engine, offshore/overwater, IFR and Bell experience.  I am also ex-military (U.S. Army UH-1/UH-60 pilot).  I took a year off to 'give back' to a part of the world that we love and cannot think of anything better than flying for a team-oriented company based out of SE Asia that would allow us more opportunities to volunteer in an area of the world that is close to our hearts.  I would be interested in being a part of your team for more than just the initial one-year contract.  I work well in a team environment and your company sounds like a great place to work!

I am new to this forum and do not see a place on this form where I can attach a Word copy of my resume.  (Maybe it is because I just signed up and they are still verifying my account)  Please send me an email and tell me where I can send the resume.  Again, I am very excited to show you my resume and learn how I can become a part of your team.

Thank you!

Hello,

I am also interested in this job opportunity.  I did not see any contact information to forward my resume and photo as well.  I am newly seperated from Army Service, and experienced in multiple aircraft such as UH-1,CH-47D, and UH-72A.  I am a team player, and professional in both appearance and attitude.  I appreciate any opportunity to apply for this position.

My contact information is flyin47d@yahoo.com.

Respectfully,
Matt Hansen
